Yes, very sad. As a Brit, it was my introduction to and education of what American culture was about.

I was well into maturity before understanding that MAD was satirical, I took it as documentary, a slightly less dull version of Time.

Ah well, All Things Must Pass.

Yes, very sad. As a Brit, it was my introduction to and education of what American culture was about.
As a Canadian being raised in California, I learned about all things British from watching The Avengers and reading Ian Fleming's James Bond novels. Needless to say, my favorite Mad feature was Spy vs Spy...

I am sure it would include a picture of Alfred dressed as George Washington coming down the steps of Air Force One and saying: 'Airport, what airport?'
