Review Index is Working Again!!!

As the title says, the index is back online!!! :)

I will have to update it with latest reviews but the code is running.

Much appreciate everyone's patience!
Thanks Amir - I has been greatly missed :-)

One suggestion is to add some initial text. ”In addition to the index, ASR also contains additional measurements and reviews of devices. These are most easily found using the search function. Tip is to use ”search titles only” and keywords of choice e.g. ”Review CD player”. ”

Also get rid of smaller font duplicate text

“Audio Review Dashboard“

I will have to see if I can update the software myself. The developer has gone completely silent. Or else, we build yet another system. :( Until then, can't make any changes other than adding reviews to the index.

Now it makes sense! It was too well hidden for me. Thanks for pushing my nose into it!
On a Win11 desktop, using FireFox, I don't get those three horizontal lines:

Would it be rude to suggest that a consolidation of the "Speakers Reviewed" column be done?
Not that I am superstitious but some of the 13 different 'Speaker Types' seem redundant and/or overlapping.

Due to @BeeKay being on a smartphone... if you zoom in to 250% on your PC browser the options will be replaced with the menu icon in the same way.

Maybe I am missing something (I am almost certain I will) but what is this good for other than some statics? Almost no links (not even towards the categories) and now a couple of latest review links that can be found using search or the actual review registers too.

Anyway, thanks for the work, I just struggle to find the use case.
I gotta say, i found it increasingly hard to find reviews even if I know the exact device name. if you search for hd650 review may not result in finding the sennheiser hd650 review because it is maybe named hd 650 or some other minor difference. Now it is really easy.
Or lets say I want to find out all reviews of dacs that amir recommended it would not be possilbe to have that if you dont go thru every review and extracted that info for yourself.
I hope I shed a light for possible usecases.

Big Thanks to amirm and the team for deeming it important enough and fixing it!!

@amirm Many thx for the great work! ASR is a phantastic resource for valuable information.

As for the Review Index I have noted that most reviews conducted this year (2025) do not show up, is it possible to add them as well?

Thanks, Jens

Hi Jens. Thank you for kind words. Yes, I will be updating the index although if someone volunteers to help me, that would be great. :)
Thanks @amirm

In order to attract "volonteers" can you kindly elaborate what kind of skills, workload and efforts would be involved in updating the index?

No special skills at all. I create a special login for you and then you see new menu items in the index that allow you to add entries. Then you look through the Review tab, go to the review and enter a few of the key values into a form on screen. Hit save and it is there. There is a bit of learning if it is a new device type or company but it is not hard at all.

I'm brand new to this forum after reading several reviews it felt unethical not to join. And I'm not complaining, just confirming, the index is not hyperlinked, right? Too much wishful thinking has me tapping my screen like a woodpecker.

Welcome to ASR !

The 'Review Link' takes me to the review when I click it.

Must be some user error (Chrome, Android). Although I should have clarified that there is a small section of what looks like recent reviews. That does work. But for example I can't click the speaker review part that says like "383(!) speakers reviewed" and then see a list of the speakers and click them. Still abnormal?

It all works fine.
Are you viewing on a phone?
The reviews are on the right in a different colour (may need to scroll right) and on a PC the curser changes to a pointing finger when you hover over the link.

Each page of a sub-section (Audio Electronics, Headphones, Speakers) of the Master Review Index should show you a 'Review Link' at the far right of each entry that will take you to the review. Perhaps you need to scroll right on your display to see each 'Review Link'.

Select Review Index (upper left) ->click wanted device type (in banner) -> Search Box (type brand name, dongle, AVR, etc) -> Sort (click column headers of interest) -> Read comments (Much member information is there to answer the same concerns/interest that you may have)
