Review and Measurements of Topping DX7s DAC and Headphone Amp

Not sure if you saw that the D50s has a newer USB driver (version 4.67). Since the HW is (almost) the same it works fine on DX7s as well.
Please comment if you have a different experience.

See the new driver here: http://www.tpdz.net/wdzn_detail/newsId=89.html
The Topping USB driver can be used for all models. Therefore, Version: V4.67.0 for D50s is the latest driver.
In addition, the remote control can be used in common with DX3Pro D50 D70 DX7s

Drivers will keep working as long as they keep using the same microcontroller :)

For a while I was leery of using the DX7s as a DAC\pre for speakers since a wrong button press could put it into line out mode and blow my speakers. But I think I found a good application for it. Using it with powered speakers, I can set the input level at a couple notches below the +4dB nominal, then when the DX7s is up to 0 dB, it's damn loud, but not clipping, distorting, etc. And picking up a D10 I can get another USB device on there without having to rearrange cables to switch.

Where to buy a 4-pins XLR plug connector for my DT880Pro headphone?

Is there a adapter where I can connect my headphones to the 4-pins plug on the DX7s which I just purchased.

What do you mean? You would just use the 6.34mm jack for your single ended headphones.
XLR doesn't offer any benefit except for more power which isn't needed especially with a DX7S that already provides like 800mw into 6.34mm.

Thanks guys. Your comments put me at ease ;). Now is to wait for the delivery of the DX7s and hope I can experience audio bliss on my DT880Pro, Takstar HF580 and the SIVGA.

Pull the trigger on a DX7s s few minutes ago. Should be arrive in a week time from China. Like to seek advice on the following ..

* Pairing it with a DT880Pro (250 ohm), Takstar HF580 and SIVGA - will I have any problem?
* Using a pair of Edifier SP3000R powered speaker - compatible with the DX7s
* Any heat issue on long useage?

Generally, will be using this for FLAC songs, gaming and movies watching.

Hope I have choose a right piece of equipment for my audio bliss.

What does it look like? That is a pretty low cost if it is as good as the one for DX7.

Just received together with my DX7s. All items purchased thru AliExpress. The build quality of the remote is A+ and in metal (alum?). Now testing out the DX7s.

Pls don't keep us in suspense...I'm interested in this for a desktop dac/amp that is ess based. Tq

Is Dx7s really a proper pre-amp? I want to use it with something like the Audiolab 8300XP until I save enough money to buy a better pre-amp.

I plan to use the xlr out on the Dx7s.

1 thing I am worry is seems it is quite easy to hit the Line out button on the remote of the Dx7s.

I use a D50 which, is similar to the Dx7s in that it may be used as a preamp, and I use it with 2 Powered monitors (Adam A7x), with no issues at all.
