Review and Measurements of Topping DX3Pro DAC and Headphone Amp

Mine has been a paperweight since 6 months in. Info on this repair? How much was it or DIY?
Search the site for my detailed post on what to do. It involves a new flashed EPROM chip replacement. They can send it to you, and if you are good at soldering, you can do it yourself, and if not, maybe $40 to have a repair specialist. OR, you can ship it to Topping and they will fix it for free. Just be sure to tell them you downloaded the firmware from their site for a DX3 Pro (not +), and it bricked it. They are good to work with.

I enjoy both the DX3 Pro and DX3 Pro+ but one very puzzling difference is their power supply requirements. While both are 15v, the Pro works fine with an iFi i Power 15v but the Pro+ won't play with the iFi and its display shows jumbled letters and numbers?

Anyone know what the most recent safe firmware is?
Don't want to loose my USB.
Thanks.

If your DX3 Pro is functioning, it has the safe (and correct) firmware. There is no other firmware download for the DX3 Pro, and the one they have listed on their site is for a DX3 Pro+, and will brick a non-plus.

Mine was within warranty. Topping paid me via paypal the shipping cost after I shipped it to them IIRC. It was around Chinese new year so it was about a 2 month turn around to get back from them. Overall the process was smooth.
