I think 600, but, at least for me, there exist better alternatives at that price range. In the 500 range (actual D70 range) it will be a best-seller instead
What are your $600 alternative suggestions?

Sabaj D5 and DX7 Pro fall right in its performance region while also having an amplifier, another one that comes in to my mind is the newly reviewed by WolfX, the SONCOZ SGD1, if you want to compare it only to DACs (and it costs 500), but there could be also others that I am forgetting right now
$699 is about what I thought it would cost. I contacted Apos on Monday, one of their resellers. They said the release of the D90 is imminent; they are waiting for the final okay from Topping. I take this to mean they have them in stock.
there are sellers on AliExpress who have units of the D90 up for $699. Not sure how I feel yet, I still want to see the results of the Jtest and linearity fixes, and to know that Topping got their production units fixed too. And while the numbers are impressive, price would’ve been more competitive at the 499-599 region, we shall see

$699 is a bit much, without verification of the "fixes" for the coaxial and linearity. A bird in the hand is great and all, but $200 premium over this

For 990 usd there is the Matrix Element i with integrated headphone amp and wireless streamer, and excellent measurements. Plus it looks awesome.

Thanks @WolfX-700 for the review. The ceramic wolves on top of the product is not original, but I approve. 
Some personal thoughts:
- I don't care about AES, and though the Coax jitter looks worse, one can't really complain if the dirt is below 130dB
- I use a DAC for loudspeakers exclusively, so this type of product is for me. I don't consider DAC-amps with similar performance and price as alternatives
- $700 is a bit much. I was hoping I wouldn't spend more than $500 on a DAC. But then again, this might be endgame for me (and for most people).
- Unlikely I'll be an early adopter, as I need to know if there's any usability bugs (i.e. clicks and pops) or high defect rate

thanks for posting this, maybe Apos audio would be able to price match this? In a perfect world, I’d like to see this for 499 usd, and all the small issues solved.
Help me on understanding the advantage of a D90 vs. a D7X Pro. Apparently they are at a close price point. Is the D90 really that much better than the DAC section of the DX7 Pro? Considering that the DX7 Pro is a combo DAC/Amp, is it not the better value?

Completely depends on your needs.
Some people may already have a competent headphone amp like the Atom or any of the THX ones and see no need to add that feature, that few extra points of SINAD might be of greater value to them instead.
