Review and Measurements of SMSL SP200 THX HP Amp

is the 1st on the left a k501 maybe ? i have one somewhere and i found its sound very natural ... beautiful
I hope to find it again in the mess ...

I received mine today
1) OK both channels.
There is no volume discrepancy between L /R.
2) RCA input - RCA output = OK
3) RCA input - XLR output, one left channel works. This is normal ?

That? No that's not an impressive selection, that's just a starting point ....Anyways, to answer your question Ether CX an LCD 2 PreFazor have been the most impressive/enjoyable to listen to
Wow! I have a LCD-3 with Fazor but haven't listened to a lot of others. Any comments?

Got mine today, but I haven't even looked at it. I have been on a tear with my new ESP/E95X since Saturday.

Pop it open tomorrow.

New to the forum very excited to be a part of the community. I have this amp on the way, pairing it up with the SMSL SU-8 Version 2 DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) I hope I made a good choice for my 6XX cans!

Great! Can you post a high res picture of what's around the pot? To see if it's feasible to replace it

I am a total noob trying to work out what I'm looking at with this stuff. So is this balanced internal circuitry or not? I had a message from both SMSL and Shenzen Audio saying internals were balanced.

I would like to know as well, I have heard it isn't from a few online sources. I am getting mine this week.

i have the strong feeling that this THX AAA core technology is indeed a game changer. I am just waiting for a high end line preamp with remote control and selectable voltage gain ... that would be the game end of line stages. Moreover it could be the choice of election for professionals ... worldwide.
Wow !

He converts RCA to XLR?
Can anyone check this feature?
I had an Aune x7s and he converts RCA-XLR.

RCA input - XLR output, one left channel works. He converts RCA to XLR as Aune x7s for example ?
Or to use XLR headphone output must connect XLR input only ?

Using RCA input, XLR output should work with both channels, for sure. If not, your unit is defect.
But, be sure you are using a non-defective XLR cable. It could be the cable.

Cable is OK. So my amps are defective. Back to the seller.

ps
I have just received the distributor's retest: "You can only get a balanced output from a balanced source (XLR input, XLR output)."

I'm lost.

For that before returning I prefer to check ..

That is simply untrue lol. distributor trying to save his ass
@mshenay as an owner can you test it? RCA in, XLR-4 out. this definitely has to work .....

This thing is tiny! I barely even notice the shape as my listening station is behind my lazy boy.

Cheaper AND smaller is a big win in my book. It really is getting crowded on that table and I have to start selling something.

I am running an RCA split from the back of my SMSL SU-8 to the SP200 and the Burson Fun-Classic. For the next few hours I will go back and forth. I am just going 1/4" to the front of each amp. It will take 3-5 seconds to physically change the jack from amp to amp.

Now I will do what I do what I do best (according to my wife):
recline and listen. :-)

No. Something is broken. Be sure it is not your cabling, or the source by swapping cables, etc.
