I cannot find measurements there about the Yamaha processor, but

I will look for them on other trusted third party sites.

ESIT: I get it you're saying Okto is SOTA, Yamaha cannot compete.

But do you think the differences will be audible?

"Order of magnitude" does sound like "a lot".

Sounds terrible right?

But only applies to an initial AD or the final DA conversion, is it correct to say everything in between is transparent if digital?

And going lower from 0.05% THD is that difference audible anyway - assuming proper gain staging - compared to the impact of other factors like speakers & room?

They would virtually be at opposite ends of Amir's league table.

Since the digital processing is done at 32 bit 96kHz it should be totally transparent.

If there's a sample rate converter in the chain, it might not be quite so straightforward.

Each make & model has to be measured individually, you can't just say the results of the Octo DAC8 can be crossed to anything else. Heck after the AKM factory fire, all models using their DAC's had to change to something else. And in the case of Denon, DAC's were changed without even a model change, 4700A to 4700B or whatnot, you'd have to open the unit and inspect it. LOL
Then in the case of these SINAD numbers, it's generally accepted that anything over 90 or 95 is pretty much fully transparent.. Now y'all can argue and debate these points as much as you'd like but that's really where it's at.

I'm avoiding SRC going with precise clock sync'ing AMAP

And I've seen lots of statements that at least with pro gear Yamaha went very conservative #s even analog cinversiin should measure better
