I once used their OBJECTIVE series amplifier, a mediocre thing, extraneous noise in the path and channel imbalance.

Which has what to do with the Atom?

In addition, this person, who is the owner of the site, said a lot of ridiculous things - in particular, he quite seriously claimed that linear power supplies are better than switching ones

Since we have no context for your assertion, I'm going to give the man who designed these very well performing boxes the benefit of the doubt that you may have misunderstood him.

JDS labs is no longer relevant, many cheaper products have appeared

Cheaper? Sure. You can always get cheaper. Better engineered, better built, better tested, better supported? Nope. Yet the Atom is priced similar to amps that have nowhere near the build quality, QA or support that JDS provides.

thanks for the in depth review and information. Great little headphone amplifier for the money!, works as intended for mastering audio and is so clean and transparent on my hd 600's would highly recommend jds labs to anyone.
