Review and Measurements of Benchmark AHB2 Amp

I'm sure this has been posted before somewhere, but the Chord Company was held to account by the ASA here in the UK a while back for its unsubstantiated cable claims:
Interesting, I was not aware of that at all?
Possibly it got more coverage in the EU than here in the states, an unfortunate outcome.
Thanks

That's no matter as I no longer drive a car.
Kal, I guess living in NYC you might not have any real need, and things like parking/storage can become hugely expensive.
That said I'd be very sad to give up driving a car/truck regularly. The act of just driving is an adventure sport the has always enhanced my enjoyment of life for over 60 years. The riding of fast motorcycles even more so, it put's the brain in overdrive and takes your adrenaline levels to new highs. I'm a junky. ;)

Well said. OTOH, when I said that I no longer drive a car, I meant regularly. Sold the weekend house and, as you say, no need for the car or garage (or the traffic) in NYC. Doesn't mean I would avoid the open road elsewhere.

Understood, I was a bit concerned you had a physical reason for not driving and I neglected to ask.
I hear so much of that in folks of our gen.
Live Long and Prosper. ;)

I don't know why I did it, but I bought a second AHB2 to run them in bridge. The extra power is nice useful, although I don't really need it. But I owned a lot of gear over the years, and nothing performed as well, reliability and had the features of my small benchmark setup. So I decided to bite the bullet and take it to the limit. I figure if worse comes to worse and I need the fiances back, I could sell them and get a Class D to replace it at a later date. Hopefully, it will never come to that. But right now I have best in class amp performance with more watts than I will ever need.

We're just going to assume they didn't agree with you then.
There was no question of any agreement. I was given the information I asked for.

You don't need this information, so our paths are different to create high-quality sound.

The veils are lowered going from 230v 50hz to 120v 60hz but lifted when reversed. Hopefully Benchmark made this clear.

Thank-you for sharing back the data for power usage for the Benchmark amplifier. Stay safe.

Have you ever heard of a balanced diet? If not, then it's worth exploring the topic. And yes, 60 hertz is better than 50

Must be. There's more of them.

Think whatever you want until you try the opposite. Good luck?
ASR is not like other audiophile sites where you can drop the ultimate card "but I heard it" and expect people to believe you. If there is any technical explanation for what you are doing should result in better sound, please share it with us. Pretend we are engineers that knows a lot about the use of transformers. Also the part about 60 Hz being better could be really interesting getting an explanation for.

You should probably read this first:
