Review and Audio Measurement of LG G7 ThinQ Smartphone

Thank you! Tell me, please, whether it be mistake to order Jcally JM20 MAX instead of Jcally JM20?

Thank you!
If I understand correctly, it uses another chip - an amplifier (?). If so, it can make things worse, no?
And, if you can, please tell me: which DAC is better, the one in the JM20 or this one: AKM AK4377

Again: thank you very much!
Pretty sure nobody would tell the difference - and all depends on implementation. Ive seen the measurements of the regular JM20, if the Max has more power into 300ohm then get that for your over ears.

Or maybe get a Max and a standard. But again, I bet your wouldnt tell the difference.

Please tell me how to adjust the volume if the digital audio stream is sent to an external DAC, which may not have an amplifier - and even if there is an amplifier, how to control the gain level - even if it is possible??? Am I right in understanding that the phone buttons will not affect the volume level in the headphones if you use UAPP?

Thank you again!!!

No. The phone buttons will continue working when playing via UAPP.
Thank you again, dear @staticV3 , for another of your answers. Thank you - I hope my almost dead LG G7 ThinQ will still have time to let me compare the sound quality of UAPP via the phone and via the JM20.

Please tell me, dear STATIC, how can I use the LG G7 ThinQ after the death of the last of its batteries? Whether it is able to modify somewhat (the battery controller?) so that I can continue using the phone, powering it from an external power source?

I have three working LG G7 ThinQs and one already dead ORIGINAL battery - and I will be happy to give them to you, dear STATIC, for experiments - give them to you or to @amirm, if he and you agree to solve this engineering problem (I read @amirm's story yesterday about the level of his engineering qualifications).

Thank you both very much in advance for the solution!!! Even in this thread, someone mentioned the unpleasant future she/he would find himself in after the death of his LG G7 ThinQ. And @amirm also mentioned the great features of the LG G7 ThinQ, which his son bought...

Would like to share this informative picture about "audiophile" phones.

Any compact and lightweight USB DACs that sound better than LG G7 ThinQ phone?

I compared LG G7 ThinQ with JM20. I compared using UAPP. LG G7 ThinQ sounds better, CLEANER than JM20 - although based on the few measurements Amir made for this phone and his measurements for JM20, it is impossible to conclude that LG G7 ThinQ is superior to JM20.

Are there any compact and lightweight USB DACs that sound better than LG G7 ThinQ phone?

How can we tell, without knowing what makes a DAC sound good to your ears?

Since conventinal wisdom (=measurements) do not seem indicative for you, you're kind of on your own.

(Though I'd still bet that you could not tell the JM20 and LG G7 apart in a blind test :D)

VICE VERSA! Based on the tests, it is clear that the LG G7 ThinQ has a noise floor (?) in the figure at -150, while the JM20 has a 10 dB worse noise floor... BUT the SINAD is better for the JM20 - although I can definitely hear the difference in the sound of the phone and the JM20: The JM20 sounds worse. There are no details, the sound is not clear. This is clearly audible when switching the source (LG G7 or JM20).

Do you know something that sounds (MEASURED!) better than the LG G7 ThinQ? Tell me, please!
