Fantastic loudspeakers and fantastic sound

Hello ))
The last upgrade! AVM Evolution CS5.2
Hello) This is the most true amp!!! Shit in shit out (c) After 40 hours of listening my F36 is singing like never before. So full, so clear, bass is exceptional. No boom, no box sound!! Mid and high the best!

Where are new F35s still available?

I found at Audio Lab (online) outside Philly. Looks like I got the last matched pair.
Nice. I thought those had disappeared from the channel entirely at this point.

Just picked up a pair of new F35 to try in home. Sounding like they while stay a while however, I am a bit concerned that my Denon X1800H lacks oomph (per Amir review).
Amir wrote, "Impedance drops to near 3.5 Ohm so you need a beefy amplifier to drive this speaker"

I'm assuming a Denon X1800H (80 wpc/2) is not a "beefy amp"?

I haven't decided 100% to keep the F35 but I'm leaning that way. Needing to add an amp (via pre outs) suited for these speakers might impact my decision; can someone give some specifics on what I should be looking for in an amp? I'd probably shop the used market first. Fwiw my use is 70/30 2.1 music / 3.1 movies and tv. Thank you!

Your Dali Oberon 5 look very subtle alongside. I always like those whenever I’ve encountered them.
lol subtle is... well.. a subtle description. My "current" fronts are actually Wharfedale D330. I have the Dali O5 and Revel here to try vs each other. My plan is to pick one of these two (but I don't have to as I can return either/both). Aesthetics and build quality aside, the Dali sound great for a small and light tower.

Oh, I see. Well the Dali seem very tolerant of amps and source material, which is why they were always an easy recommendation. And just enjoyable ime, though I’m not sure what the measurement for that is! Bear in mind their successor (Sonik) has been announced so discounts must be incoming.

BTW I owned the smaller Revel M16 for a while, because they’d sounded great at a show. I never really gelled with them - much preferred KEF LS50 for example - but they were easy to sell on.

That's correct.
Are you using this AVR to drive a surround system of 5.1 or more speakers?
I'd avoid using it for driving any more than just the front 2 L&R speakers.
Since it only offers the option of Pre-Out for the front 2, you might seriously consider picking up another amp for driving the F35s, using the onboard
amps for your surround speakers.
For now I'd avoid trying to play things too loud. ;)

IMHO, keep the F35's and consider some form of up amp upgrade when finance allows. The used market if full of great amps with
enough muscle in the $200 - 300 range.

Thanks. Never very loud and 2.1 music most of the time. 3.1 for tv/video content.

Can we get a technical definiton of "beefy"?

I will bet that none of you claiming the Denon is insufficient on F35's (especially if high-passed at 80Hz) could tell it from any other amp in a properly controlled blind test on music.
