Revel center speakers

Not sure about your room or center location, but an M106 makes a great center. May not work in many setups, it if you have a projection screen, they go nicely below the screen.
M105 for that matter. A little smaller, a little cheaper, and just as good.

Yea I was thinking that too. I'd definitely try both ways.
You can plug the port with a provided plug with no change to the bass above your crossover point and even less distortion. I know of a much cheaper than list option; asked them if they’ll ship to the UK. If so, I’ll hook you up.

Plugging the port will either increase or not affect (other than negligibly) the speaker's level of distortion if it's crossed over to a subwoofer. The effect of porting a speaker is to increase its SPL per voice coil displacement at, and in the range immediately above, the port tuning frequency.

EDIT: should have added for the sake of completeness - if the speaker is not crossed over to a sub, the port will also have the effect of increasing distortion below the port tuning frequency. But concern for this region can safely be neglected if the speaker is crossed over to a sub significantly above the port tuning frequency.

That's very kind of you, thanks!

I've found a new pair of M105s in the UK for £800 / $1030, not sure how that compares.

On a somewhat OT, but related note, my side surrounds turned up today. They're gorgeous! Can't wait to get them set up (2wks away though, unfortunately).

That’s a very good price, higher than my source but then with shipping about the same. If you want a pair then it’s an excellent deal.

Those are on my list for side and rear surround, and they do look great. I’m also thinking of in-wall, but not many reviews on those.

I have 4 of these for surrounds and rear surrounds. I really like them. Good mounting hardware, nice shallow cabinet, 90db sensitivity, and sound great.

Good mounting hardware
I thought that too! Best wall bracket I've had for a wall mount speaker.

I'll likely do the same. I've got JBL Arena 120s as surround backs at the mo. Wall mounted, which I know Toole has said (for the 120s specially) isn't ideal, but they'll do for now.

Could you point me towards the wall bracket in question? I've been struggling to find an acceptable way to mount m105's as rear surrounds.

Thanks, that would be appreciated. Wall mounting is my only option, other than placing a speaker on a piano...
First impression on the brackets: compact, elegant, sturdy, very good horizontal toe-in adjustment, only 7.5 degrees vertical, so keep that in mind. The cover is a little cheesy but most brackets don't even have a cover. The price is outstanding. The only question I have is the ability to screw into the bottom of the Revels to hold them in place sufficiently. I won't have mine in hand for three weeks to confirm, I'm afraid.

I almost ordered those when I was considering M105’s for surrounds. What speakers are you going to use them with?
