Replacing my A-S701 for something smaller. Class-D?

I don't know the cost of Bluesound Powernode in EUR, but it could be an option to explore. It offers very flexible connectivity and it includes a very decent streamer.
It is fairly small and unassuming. I had their first version before moving to powered speakers and never had a complaint.
My understanding is that the current version is much improved compared to the one I used to have, both in power output and distortion.

If you wanted to try one of the Wiim options you could order one from Amazon and try it for a week and return it if you didn't like it. One major determiner may be the number and type of music sources you listen to. Also keep in mind a preamp/music source with trigger output and a power amp hidden away somewhere if you want to stick with larger conventional amps.
