Solved! Has to be done on a Mac first then it shows up on iOS. Ugh. Apple and Home. What a mess that app is.

I have a couple non Apple brand Airplay 2 powered speakers I moved to new rooms and renamed in the speaker app, but Airplay shows the old names. These are not Home app Airplay devices. So that is not an option.

How do I flush the Airplay memory cache? I think this is the issue.

The speakers are no longer these names or locations.

I thought that all airplay 2 compatible devices need to be changed in the Apple HOME app to update names and locations. What speakers are you trying to adjust?
