Hello.

I have a pair of REL home theater Reference series subwoofers which has burnt components on amplifier module. The Control board, Filter board look ok but amp board is damaged. (One is heavily damaged and the other is lightly damaged with a Rifa cap and resistor burnt).

The heavily damaged unit look a lot worse because burnt foam surround which was on top of the inner cabinet which was melted and dripped onto the amp module section so black gunk on them.

Instead of replacing entire back panel plate amp, is it possible to just replace amp module to something else and keep the control and filter boards to keep the original look?

Here are some photos of damaged amp module inside.

Thank you very much.

easy , buy a behringer DCX 2496 new or 2nd hand lower price and behringer NX 3000D class d amplification , connect the wires to the speaker/sub driver ( are we getting the idea ) this be far cheaper better than these plate amps , there , there it is cheap solution
