@J. Lohmann, maybe it's just me, I really do wish you'd write more about what you liked and didn't like about the movies, rather than simply posting animated GIFs and photos of the packaging.

Apparently strongly influenced by Hollywood movies including the Mummy movies starring Brendan Fraser, and of course the Indiana Jones movies, The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec is pleasant bit of cinematic fluff, based on a comic series by Jacques Tardi.
I decided to ignore a little while back, so it isn’t just you. Absent any discussion of the films themselves those posts just become irritating, I reckon.

Arriving in 4K and HDR on September 2, 2026.
Perhaps more discussion regarding Out of the Past (1947) than some desire.
I get the impression more collectors of film noir regard Out of the Past as the 1st title in their collection than any other, including Detour (1945).
Warner Archive has the deserved reputation for delivering consistently high quality transfers using the best available elements.
They have access to the original camera negative for Out of the Past.
The fatalistic nature of Robert Mitchum's character anchors the movie's sensibility as film noir.
37 years after Out of the Past, lead actress Jane Greer was specifically cast by director Taylor Hackford in a featured role in his 1984 remake entitled Against All Odds.
Kirk Douglas is memorable in a secondary role.
Highly recommended for however one can access this transfer in native 4K resolution with HDR grading.

Twilight Samurai
Not the Samurai movie you were expecting. This isn’t Yojimbo/Sanjuro or even Zatoichi. Hiroyuki Sanada gives a great performance. There is just enough action to keep it a legit Samurai movie. This is so good you don’t even need to be a Samurai movie fan to enjoy it. It’s the plot here, don’t get me wrong the action is top notch but like I said it’s the story, you could call it a Refreshing movie worth watching.

Once available in 1080p Blu-ray in a limited run of 3,000 copies from Twilight Time, the label that used the Blu-ray format to release on disc, films with soundtracks they felt worthy of collecting in lossless audio. The score won an award in Japan and is by Isao Tomita.
Apparently the market in Japan had access to the title in the HD DVD format.
I second this. Enjoyed every minute and watched it more than once.
Watched Black Bag recently. A very good spy thriller with great actors in a good story.

I guess just ignore me like the other individual who seems to be offended by packaging artwork did; I only view films on physical media, as I do with music, but this seems to be shunned here, even if there's nothing to say about the film I'm watching.
You and the three others who liked your comment are going to ignore my posts anyway, so what difference does it make?
