Recommendations for Music Production PC

Good gear, but not really budget friendly...
 
Not even too expensive for this CPU class - but is that kind of power really needed? And, it could (IMHO) get loud.

Better have it than not, plus the WRX8 socket offers an easy upgrade path for CPU and RAM as requirements evolve.

The Socket 1700 in OP's linked system is dead already. End-of-line.
 
I use Protocols in my job ( post Production drama sound mixing), once you have got to grips with it PT is fast and powerful. It runs better on a Mac than a pc, but if there is no network to run not much in it.
But, golden rule, lots of RAM!
 
I want to stay away from used gear, but older models that were highly rated a year or two ago might work.
