Hello forum.
I’m in the process of looking into replacing an Oppo ha-1 in my main system. I’m using it as a DAC in bypass mode and I love it but I need a headphone amp in a guest room for a family member that will be moving in for awhile.
When replacing it I’d like to keep its functionally and add the ability to control volume from an iOS device over any or at least one usb input. I can’t do that now with the ha-1 unless I’m using the mobile usb type a mobile input so I want to make sure that its it’s replacement will enable iOS volume control on USB.
I’d like something that looks good, measures well and has a decent level display that can be seen from across the room with a good preamp that can drive amps directly if I decide to replace an integrated later on down the road.
