Recommandation for headphones + DAC 350-400 $ ?

Hi fan of audio and decibel !

I fall on your website this morning and i'm just looking for a new headphones. My HyperX Cloud Orbit S is actually broken and need a change solution.
I try to see what you advise in your website, and see your not fan of Hifiman Sundara & Ananda and basically i don't know why...

Headphone who's capable of music, video and video games can be for me a good compromise. Sennheiser, Hifiman XS Edition, Fiio looks great but to be honest i have no fucking idea to what buy.
Music is my paradise, like ear the guitar cords ringing, the breath, the little details, but i love to be like in a cinema with bass, immersion for movies and gaming too..

I see some people advise me to take an iFi Zen air Dac 2 for the Dac (~139 €), then i've 250 € more to spend.

If you can advise me i will be recognised for your help and the time you take.

Let me your review there and by the way maybe recommandation for headphones and DAC ?

The Hifiman Edition XS with Capra comfort strap is a great value for multimedia use IMO. If you want to lower the budget look at the Fiio JT7, or FT1 Pro for better build quality.

Hello ! I'm listening only on my pc ! I already have an headphones for my mobile and works great for the moment.
Is i need ampli and DAC or only one of them ? :s

If your PC has a headphone output I'd suggest that you check out that first. For instance Macs have quite good audio. Othewise you need both a DAC and an amp, to convert the digital signal from your PC into analog and to make it powerful enough to drive your headphone. My suggestion is to look for a combined DAC/amp device; one solution could be the Topping DX1 II, you may find a couple of threads here in which it is discussed. That would keep you close to your budget and should be satisfactory. Note that I haven't tried it, I only read about it.
