Receiver "over" subwoofer on a separate rack... bad idea?

Hi folks - I'm considering building a custom shelf/rack to hold my AV receiver and other compenents. Given the way the room is set up, it would be great if I could design it in such a way that the rack basically fits "over" my 10" RSL Speedwoofer subwoofer. This will let me fit everything in the same corner of the room, but I'm concerned that this type of placement could cause sound quality or even eletronic issues. (I don't see any commerical racks that use this design, which makes me wonder if it's a bad idea.)

To be clear, I'm not talking about placing the receiver directly onto the subwoofer or trying to use the subwoofer itself as the receiver "stand." The idea is to build a separate rack for my components but put it on legs tall enough that the sub can be tucked underneath. The subwoofer will sit on the floor with the rack and receiver in a vertical "stack" above it, but they won't actually be connected to each other.

I'm open to buying isolation feet or whatever might be needed to limit vibrations, but at this point I'm just curious if I should even be going in this direction.

PS - Current plan is that the legs and bottom of the receiver platform will clear the outer faces of the subwoofer by 2-3" in all dimensions. (The speedwoofer is roughtly a 16" cube and the space underneath woul be about 18" high and 20" wide.) Current receiver is an older Yamaha 7.1, but I'm hoping to upgrade in the next year or so.

IMO no worse than putting the sub next to the TV stand with the receiver in it, which is super common. Vibration is not desirable per se but as far as I know it doesn't cause meaningful feedback except where turntables are concerned.

Without physical connection to the sub, sounds like a decent plan, maybe overcautious
