So, if I am interpreting this correctly, when you build an amplifier with that module you add the adjustable gain. Is that correct?

That makes sense.

When I calculated the output voltage, assuming a 4V input (XLR), it was only 21V with 14.4 dB of gain, which is about 110 W at 4 ohm, and half that at 8 ohm.
