Me too, at a club in Amsterdam many moons ago... whole place was like one massive Dutch oven, but I didn't inhale.Only saw them once
A new contender has entered the ring!Hello everyone,
I'm curious about R2R DACs and their sonic differences. I was interested in the Fiio K11 R2R, but I passed on it because it doesn't have a balanced output.
My headphones system relies on a 3-in/3-out balanced switch. The Laiv Mini was the solution, but it's quite expensive.
My speaker amplifier is connected via the SE output of my current DAC, a Topping D30pro.
The K13 R2R has a balanced output, so this might be a good option. I have a question: is it possible to use both the balanced and SE outputs simultaneously?
Balanced output to my switch, SE output to my speaker amplifier.
Sorry for my bad english![]()

Seriously? What part of it being an R2R DAC did you not understand?so what chip did they put in k13 r2r: AK 4493 ak 4499 , ESS 9068 / 9039 ?
ahh, did more research, all good now..Seriously? What part of it being an R2R DAC did you not understand?
this sold me, and bt 5.4, and musicality, (also maybe k13 is fitting better for my Sundara), pulled a trigger for USD 246, seller sending it today from China to me, my 3rd Fiio DAC in all my dacs collection history, the most ever from any company, k5 ess -> k7 -> k13, can't wait to test all headphones, i was already happy with k7, but got spare money for new toyNo, I do not have EQ or any DSP controls enabled when using my Hifimans, so has nothing to do with EQ. What I refer to is purely on hardware tuning as a whole, not just the DAC, which is just a single part of the overall picture.
The DX5 II fatigued me on long sessions, the K13 R2R does not, it's as simple as that.
Congratulations, How did you get that price? I thought I saw 310+ USD everywhere!this sold me, and bt 5.4, and musicality, (also maybe k13 is fitting better for my Sundara), pulled a trigger for USD 246, seller sending it today from China to me, my 3rd Fiio DAC in all my dacs collection history, the most ever from any company, k5 ess -> k7 -> k13, can't wait to test all headphones, i was already happy with k7, but got spare money for new toy![]()
alibaba gave -16.31 usd shipping fee discount for eligible items, and this was the one, seller instantly messaged me they have in stockCongratulations, How did you get that price? I thought I saw 310+ USD everywhere!
Only 1849$....Buy one and ship it to Amir. R2R and NOS: not much to expect from measurements, I guess.Anyone used or heard of this brand? https://www.garlubidor.com/divinity-dac-details-page . Looks like it's owned by Denafrips.
It can handle all the filtering, plus modulator and oversampling choises. Perhaps your R2R-DAC with NOS will then turn into a loving conductor?
If you accidentally use this software program and you're looking for a DAC, I think chip-based DACs aren't suitable. The signal processing is then handled first by HQPlayer, and then by the chip-based DAC or by a DAC whose processing can't be bypassed.what the point of this? what exactly are you expecting to be better over any oversampling d-s dac
Never heard of this player but a quick look at the web site indicates it's trying to be the software equivalent of the M Scalar. If so then it's pointless.R2R-DAC with NOS is seen here as a potential amplifier/speaker abuser. But what if you happen to have HQPlayer at home? It can handle all the filtering, plus modulator and oversampling choises. Perhaps your R2R-DAC with NOS will then turn into a loving conductor?
