Like you buy a expensive car and they don't tell you how frequently you need to change the gear box oil, or if there is any for that matter. In fact they should, and perhaps make some money. Waiting to the point it manifests can't be called a best practice.

Quick question: Is there ferrofluid (or other coolant) in Genelec 8351B tweeters

Hi,
First of all... tmtomh your answer and take on the subject is highly appreciated and does make me happy.
Second, I totally agree that failures would have popped up a lot if there were an issue, so I'm accepting "no use of ferrofluid." Maybe I'm deluding myself, or I really want to be with a product that does not use ferrofluid, or maybe I'm a former spoiled ATC user!
Anyway, I ordered the GLM KIT. I read a lot of mentions, and the one that repeats is "get yourself a GLM kit... it really 'unlocks' the full potential of your speakers!"Let's see.
And as a side note — and you all can call me nuts hhh — I also have in my possession a Trinnov Nova, but unfortunately, my global location does not have a return policy to take gear for a test period in my own environment. so GLM Kit is on the way.
I will upload my Trinnov Nova graph, and when I compare it to the Levimax graph, I think I'm on the safe side, at least I think so. Please advise, thanks.

Well, I got the 5-year warranty even though they are ex-demo, so that's also on the safe side, lol. Again, this popped into my mind as I write: when I turned to ATC, I was so at ease of mind knowing there is no ferrofluid. It was like a victory against every other speaker out there.
Anyway, I'm very pleased with the 8351B.

You can simply measure the near field frequency response to check whether the tweeter is working per spec or needs any servicing.

I don't have GLM yet, but I'll be buying it soon. They sound great even without calibration. I had considered getting the 8330 + 7350 combo, but now I know I made the right choice, as the 8340 is much more powerful and the bass goes deep enough.Yes it seems like a basic refresh when time will come... I previously owned Dynaudio 52SEs, Dynaudio Focus 160s, and speakers from other brands, but Genelec outperformed them all in terms of sound quality.
In my opinion, it looks good.

Tweeters look fine and operating as expected. Ferro fluid has improved over the years and it is unlikely that a speaker designed for professional use is ever going to have issues. I would not worry about it at all.
