Finally got the headphones.

With the preset and -4dBFS Peak levels post-EQ that volume is a tat on the lower side.

Any problems with setting HPA gain to "high gain" on the amp?

By problems I was referring to whether I should expect a decrease in sound quality by increasing gain. Multiple sources seem to indicate that this might be the case. For example in the form of, ‘set the gain as low as possible’, etc.

The only way in which increasing gain reduces sound quality is in increasing the noise floor a bit (hiss).

If you can't hear any hiss even in High gain, then you're not missing out on sound quality.
