Questions about Kanto Oras and small speakers

Hi, I had a lovely lp-6 but sadly, due to space I had to sell it :/

I bought the kanto oras and they're fine, but I am hearing a lot about how other speakers sound better and I'm wondering if I made the right choice. My budget is 350CAD. Someone recommended me the edifier mr4 for half the price, and I'd really love to save money specially if the new speakers aren't gonna sound as nice as the lp6 anyways, as long as they're good enough. but the reviews online make me think it's a lot worse then the oras.
Do you guys have any suggestions? did I make the right decision? I bought the Oras for 280CAD before tax.

Also, I was thinking of buying a subwoofer for it for 100CAD (I caught the Jamo sw1008 for 60 bucks, it might not be great but it'll still improve the audio quality, right?)
should I grab the Jamo? should I buy another unit? the sub8 is way too expensive for me at 580CAD total for the entire setup minus tax.
I also found teh KLIPSCH SUB-8 for 100CAD

The current best small desktop monitors based on detailed measurements are the Kali LP-UNF and Adam D3V.

The ORA definitely isn't a bad choice based on limited measurement data from Audioholics, but to put it firmly into context with the other two, we'd need a full suite of Klippel data, ideally from Erin or Amir.

Adding a subwoofer always comes with additional complications, and I'd say the cheaper the sub, the harder it'll be to usefully integrate into your system.

Don't assume that any sub, regardless of price and quality, will automatically be an improvement.

It may be, but the time and effort that you put into integration is a significant factor.

oh good to know ;c I mainly wanted to do that as the ORAs have a hardware feature that optimized the two units on the speakers for different frequencies and makes them less "muddy" and more clear when you connect a sub as it's free to produce other frequencies, that's what I understood from the manual at least. Now i'm debating returning them, but those two speakers don't support a sub-out. For the ORAs they behave a bit differently than other speakers.

Is it still hard to know if an ora+sub will be worse than lp-unf without a sub?

I assume both those units are much worse than lp-6 right?

Thanks for your help :) It's hard to decide if I should saveup for a sub8 or just grab the adam d3v. the lp-unf reviews made me think I won't like it. I actually use these in a small kitchen (5x3m) but the oras are good enough for me as I rarely turn the volume past 65db @ 2m. maybe 70db @ 2m on a special day :P

Eventually my best bet is just to move out of this tiny apartment if I ever find a nice job, and get the lp6-v2 / IN8 as pricey as they are. I'm not sure if I'm gonna notice anything better than them.

I only know of this test/measurement, but it's all with the pricey SUB8

What do you think of the MR3 in comparison to the Oras?
