That's fine, I got the answer I was looking for. I think my system is done for another 10-15 years now. Sounds great, lets just hope that wiim dont do anything stupid with the software.

if your RCA runs to the subwoofers are relatively short (under 3-4 meters) and kept away from power supplies, an unbalanced setup is usually perfectly fine and free of audible hum. However, if you plan on complex 5.3 routing across a large room, going balanced is a smart move for peace of mind.
As for finding the right synergy with these Class-D amps, I run a very similar rig. I actually picked up my latest batch of Fosi and WiiM gear from emiuzek.com recently. Whatever route you take, just make sure to keep your cable management clean and let the DSP do the heavy lifting!

We can't blanket all uses just because is a home environment.

Houses are complicated these days with a bunch of devises and automation running all over the place, etc.

Things to consider:
-First and foremost, messy cable routing.
-Led lighting, specially the cheap stuff, go near their PSUs (but not only near, same circuit for example can be affected as well for meters) to do FFTs and watch them lighting like Christmas trees.
-A/C, fridges, motors of any kind, various displays, etc.
-Wireless sources with messy PSUs.
-Various other stuff.

If the above exist, I would definitely go for at least balanced connections over 3-4 meters or so.
And a second one, if I had to attenuate a DAC digitally more than 50% for normal to loud use, I would go for different gain-staging.

Pseudo balanced doesn't give you the extra sinad - but it does give you most of the common mode noise rejection - which is what balanced connections are for.
