recently i know that the oppo 203 is a reference 4k dolby vision playback device mentioned in dolby lab's white paper.
The oppo 203 can playback profile 7 full enhanced layer aka dual layer dv,because it was built into two video chip to decode 4k uhd base layer and the other video chip to decode 1080p enhanced layer separately.
i already own a oppo 203(to read uhd .m2ts ) and a shield tv pro(running plex with library wall),but heard that zappiti neo player has better picture quality than 203.So i dive deeply into google to search and found out neo is not supported dulay layer profile 7 FEL dolby vision playback.
I was curious about media playback device. Can anyone explain these question for me? thanks
1.if i obtain a bunch file name .m2ts contains into BDMV folder format,can i play the biggest size of .m2ts to make oppo 203 recognize as a real physical uhd disc,in order to playback dulay layer profile 7 FEL dolby vision content?
2.There is a huge size like 80-90GB dolby vision hdr uhd .mkv REMUX video at internet.
What kind of the difference compared to .m2ts format?Just assume .mkv and .m2ts are extracted from a same UHD dolby vision FEL FORMAT.
3. back to the bluray era,what special of oppo blurayer like 103 or 93 when it compared with other entry level bluray player or flagship bluray player?
I know that not uhd player born equally, some budget uhd player only can process hdr10 format but no dolby vision.
Or really budget bluray player can't output audio as bitstream and 24p playback funciton.
DO i get the information correct?
