I’m getting total distortion on the right channel with the t71 with my Dca e3 headphones. Like on piano notes. I did a reset and same thing still. Happens on the 4.4 and 2.5 jacks. No issues if I use something like a fosi ds3. Did I get a defective unit?
bummer supports probably closed for the week too. its gonna be a depressing wait. who knows how much shipping and customs ill have to pay on the return and repair too. how does this even get pass qc
This just happened to me, so here's what to expect:
I (in the US) ordered a T71 directly from Qudelix (Korea) on May 2. They shipped it with Fedex and I received it on May 7. My right channel also had distortion.
I emailed Qudelix Support on May 8 and told them my troubleshooting steps like testing with multiple input sources and headphones. They replied on May 10 and told me to ship the unit back to them in Korea, minus the back cover and battery. Their shipping instructions were excellent and very detailed. I shipped the unit back on May 11 using UPS through a local pack and ship place.
On May 19, Qudelix replied again and said, "After inspecting the returned unit, we confirmed that one of the two TI INA1620 amplifiers is defective. In some cases it operated normally, but it would intermittently fail to function properly. We will send you a replacement unit. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Also, could you let us know the return shipping cost when you sent the device back to us? We will reimburse the shipping cost you incurred. We'll ship a replacement unit in a few days."
I scanned my shipping receipt and emailed it to them. The next day on May 20, Qudelix refunded the shipping cost to the card charged in the original purchase. Also on May 20, I got an emailed bill from Fedex for "Import charge payment due for your FedEx shipment". This was for the original unit. I had to pay $37.90.
I received the new unit on May 27, and it was a working unit. I have the extra back cover and battery from the first unit, so that's a bonus. I have not yet got anything from Fedex about import charges for the replacement unit. My fingers are crossed that Qudelix paid that for me.
