With UAPP you can still see MQAs on Tidal, although only in 16 bit (even 24 bit MQA files are only read in 16 bit).
The "funny" thing is that there are MQAs on Qoboz too. The screen is one of the MQAs encountered the last period in the Qobuz catalogue

This is further proof that audiophiles hear things that are not there, especially when they think that Qobuz sounds different from Tidal and they hate MQA, without knowing that they also listened to MQA on Qobuz and appreciated it

Since before I started following you folks here, I had bought into the MQA stuff and got myself a Cambridge Dacmagic 200m and a trial Tidal subscription. When sensing the MQA format, a blue indicator light was illuminated. I ditched Tidal for Qobuz soon after and have been pleased with more conventional technologies. Seeing this post, I found this track which while described as yielding the "MQA" experience, did not seem to excite my MQA enabled DAC in any way and the blue indicator remained dark. Not sure what all this means. Perhaps some versions of Qobuz have the MQA disabled somehow.

Qobuz never claimed they don't have MQA releases in their catalog.

On the proprietary application it is not possible to see if it is on Qobuz or Tidal. BitPerfect with UAPP is required to enable MQA on Android

This is hardly news people have been talking about a few MQA albums slipping through for about three years.

Yes, there some on Qobuz, but to be honest I’ve only noticed about two (indicator shows in DAC) in the maybe 1000-2000 albums I’ve played since joining a couple of years ago. Got to admit on the couple that I had noticed they didn’t sound appreciably better or worse than any other typical Qobuz stream.
