I recently picked up the ever popular 7Hz Salnotes Zero, thinking they'd be great as a portable that didn't need EQ. While they do sound great, I was surprised that they weren't markedly better that my go-to TWS, the QCY HT05. Then I actually looked up the un-EQ'd response of the HT05 on autoeq:
Other than the bass roll off, they look as good a match to the target curve as the 7hz:
The QCY's are about $40, so almost double the price of the 7hz, but you get TWS, noise cancelling and (IME) a much higher level of comfort.
Is there a reason that there's not the same buzz around the QCY as there is the 7hz? I feel like I'm missing something.
