Q Acoustics 3030i Quasi-anechoic Spinorama and other measurements

Just found this very good review as I have these speakers!!! as mentioned on the graphs am I correct in thinking that a good starting point for placement would be to toe them out off axis at 15° As this seems to be the flattest responce ?

IMO let them point straight forward. Assuming your listening position is at the point of an equilateral triangle you'll be at the 30 degree location, which has a perfect downward slant for high frequency. You don't want it to be perfectly flat. Other room factors (like close side walls) and your age (HF hearing) could change that, but seems like a good place to start.

I have a equilateral triangle but I'm a bit pushed for space so I'm looking for tweeks!! They seemed to sound better with some toe in but I'll do some experimenting with different toe angles. I'm looking at getting better image placement but my room is in the loft see pic
Any advice would be greatly apriciated

That is a tough space. Personally, I would bring them inwards away from the walls and pint them straight forward. Then experiment with the seating position (forward and back will definitely change the tonality) to taste. That should give you excellent soundstage. Regarding the sub, really not sure - room modes are unpredictable IRL. Have you learned to use REW? It's mandatory for optimizing the SQ and EQ to your space, especially in setting up a sub.

I've read conflicting advice on how far these should be placed from the rear wall. Manufacturer recommends 200mm, which sounds pretty generic to me, others say a couple of feet. Anybody have any thoughts on this based on what we see in the measurements?

now using

Preamp: -4.3 dB
Filter: ON PK Fc 2300 Hz Gain 2.4 dB Q 2.3

or use what amirm set for q3020i
Filter: ON PK Fc 2500 Hz Gain 2 dB Q 3
Filter: ON HSC Fc 5000 Hz Gain -1 dB Q 3
tbh though that is the best ^ so use that for q3030i or q3020i, same tweeter and 2.4khz crossover, i would change my last comment but cant edit anymore, ty amirm for eq
