Putting together a small home 2.1 system and want to make sure I got everything I need.

I'm getting some speakers and a subwoofer to make a small home audio system for my computer. The speakers are Edifier MR5 and the Subwoofer is an RSL Speedwoofer 10e. I know the speakers aren't the best but I got them at a deep discount and I think they will be useful for a few years until I can build a more serious system when I get my own home. For now I just want to double check that I have the right connections and cables. I asked google ai about it but I know that you can't trust everything ai says so I wanted to ask here to make sure I got correct information.

Because I already have it for my headphones I was planning on connecting the speakers and sub up through a JDS Labs Atom 2 DAC/AMP. I've got the DAC connected to my pc with a usb-c cable and the dac to the amp with rca cables. That only leaves me two rca ports so I was told I would need to get two Y splitter 1male to 2 female rca cables. I would plug one into each rca port on the back of my amp and then I would plug normal rca cables into my speakers and the sub and plug those into the female end of the splitter cables. It said this would allow me to control the volume of my speakers and sub simultaneously through the amp volume knob. Does that sound correct or have I got something incorrect?
Also it said I would be able to remotely control the output of the subwoofer through the Peace APO, it said I could make a setting so it essentially turns all the bass for the sub down to zero which would be the same as turning it off. I want to be able to do that at night so I don't disturb the neighbors. Do you know if that will actually work or not? Added images of the backs of everything realized that would probably help.
Forgot to mention before anyone asks, the reason I'm running the speakers through the Atom 2 stack is because I don't sit at my desk properly but in a recliner about 5 feet away. So I can't go the usual route of just controlling speakers with a knob. I have the dac/amp sitting on a little table next to my recliner in arms reach and it lets me control my headphones and hopefully soon my speakers from a distance.

I've no idea about any of the specific kit you mention or any foibles it may have...
It seems to me that using a pair of Y splitters to feed L and R output channels from the DAC into L & R on each speaker and simultaneously to the L & R inputs on the sub should work fine and volume control will be fine. The experiment will cost less than £10 for splitters (1 male to 2 female RCA) plus 1 stereo RCA cable for the sub and 2 mono RCA cables to each main speaker.
