I have an Eversolo T8 digital transport which I use with my superb Sigberg Sarannas ( digital out of the T8 straight into the Sigbergs) the T8 has an SPF optical input,

Now Eversolo wouldn’t include SPF unless it made a huge difference in SQ would they?
So I contacted Eddie Hing at Universal Networks, https://www.universalnetworks.co.uk/
he kindly suggested some suitable components, ( frankly life is too short to wade through optical acronym city )they arrive tomorrow so hold your breath for veils being lifted, blacker blacks, unbridled musicality and cute yellow optical leads rather than that ugly cat 5.

Lol, yes, that very demanding low single-digit Mbps stream at best (lots of content probably would be measured in kbps).

In any case, it's just SFP, not SFP+, so it's full-duplex gigabit same as the RJ45 ethernet connection. The only truth here is that it does provide electrical isolation, but I don't believe noise getting in via the ethernet is an actual problem. Might be nice if you're located more than 100 meters from your switch, I guess.

It’s the ‘noise’ Kyuu you can’t hear it and obviously it can’t be measured but once it is removed you can literally reach out and touch Patricia Barber’s thigh .

I must thank Eddie Hing at Universal Networks, he really de-mystified the whole procedure, looked at the Eversolo spotted they had made a mistake, sent me the correct components and it all works and the noise, the noise you can’t hear or measure has now completely disappeared.
