I try if at all possible not to take part-exchanges, a, because I really have no idea how much equipment is worth and b, the customer is bound to realise more from a private sale.
Occasionally though the odd component or pair of speakers are taken in part-ex or ex-demonstration equipment which might have been replaced with a newer model.
