I wonder about this Gato CLC65 speaker; it keeps being pushed back. Are they waiting for the new tweeter version?

The delivery date of April 2026 for the CLC65 and the information in post #481 with delivery starting in April for the tweeter do provide a good indication .

Gato ordered tweeters long time ago. The April delivery is for new orders. From what I understand, Gatos cabinets got delayed.

Ukkonen has a single 8" Purifi woofer, while the Kuoro has 2 x 6.5" Purifi woofer. And the Ukkonen (and Sointuva AWG) use SB Acoustics tweeter, while only the Kuoro so far uses the Purifi tweeter.

They could offer all combinations of cabinet sizes x woofers x tweeters but I guess they also need to simplify SKUs.

Besides the Purifi tweeter, I wonder if this one is a 2.5 way, this should both bring a decent increase in sensitivity and a lowering of IMD since the bass load is shared between the two woofers.

Also suppose he is testing market acceptance of the tweeter, since there is also a price increase (Purifi 722 usd x 532 usd SB Acoustics Satori, prices on Madisound, multiplied by margin).

You can find CNC joineries all over the world that can mill the component sets for the enclosures with absolute precision, whether just the front panels or fully assembled/glued enclosures.
Alternatively, you can find many people in specialist forums and classified ads/offers who own CNC panel milling machines and offer custom work.

Ideally, Purifi would provide the corresponding CNC data for the enclosure.

In Germany/EU, for example, there is this company that manufactures everything with a perfect fit, from the front panel to the enclosure kit to the finished enclosure.

Im sorely tempted by the purifi kit I reckon £2,300 all in price with duties in the UK including fab costs for enclosures.

I'd get more than that for my ns1000m and 140-15d. Mmm

Great to see this bundle available, thanks to Purifi.
I am contemplating buying this, but I see that there is a kit coming that includes cabinets and crossover.
I understand that diversity of customer choice adds to costs, but I wonder whether Purifi might consider a spread of options:

1. driver kit as is
2 driver kit + front baffle only
3. driver kit + full cabinet flat-packed
4. driver kit + crossover only
5. driver kit + cabinet flat-packed + crossover

Or some combinations along these lines.

My preference would be to buy the driver kit + front baffle, as the baffle is the most tricky and yet cosmetically-important piece. I feel confident that I could fabricate the rest of the cabinet with ease.

Also, now we know the crossover frequency but the slopes are unknown to me, and it would be pretty fun to put together an active version- MiniDSP+ Purifi stereo amps bilaterally + this kit (+/- subs) would be pretty spectacular.

In any event: this is great news, I might just cave and order this kit regardless of the options I outlined above!

My wish would be the necessary crossover info so that this could be an active version.
With a minidsp this should be much easier to build let alone the advantages of active speakers.
