Hi All,

Looking to purchase my first DAC and have decided on the Topping DX5II. I'm in Canada and it looks like there are no Canadian dealers so i'm looking for some advice on the best place to purchase. Not so much from the standpoint of cheapest, but more from the standpoint of least hassle should something go wrong. Any advice would be much appreciated. I've looked around and see that topping has their own store, and found aoshida, shenzhenaudio, linsoul all have their own online stores... and then when I search amazon I see those same dealers, plus others.... Then there is Apos... which seems to be the only North American dealer. They seem to be a bit more expensive but if I can avoid some of the horror stories, I'd pay the premium But the reviews don't seem any better for them. So I'm a bit confused where I'm going to get the best support. One of these dealers directly? Topping directly? One of these dealers through amazon? A search of these forums make me think that none of these are going to be highly recommended, but is there a "least worst" option for us Canadians?

I've used ShenZhen for my last orders (E30 II, HS02, Mini 300, E70V). The "what if" never entered my mind as long as they are an authorized dealer. I've received everything I ordered from ShenZhen within one week to Ottawa, Ontario.

Off the top of my head....7 days no restock fee for ShenZhen, 30 days no-questions return, and support on Discord too.

Canadian shoppers should avoid Apos. I've told them years ago and again that their currency conversion is screwed up to great disadvantage of Canadians.

$349 = $483 CAD on Google
$599 = $830
$199 = $275

I have an E50 and L30II I bought from amazon through Aoshida. I can't comment as to any customer service as I have had no need to contact them--I would expect going through amazon would add some more layers of assurance having returned many things for various reasons with no hassle in my life.
