Is this combination going to meet my expectations, which consist of:

Eversolo handling my digital connections:

- Volume control (tv remote) and auto switching to ARC input from turning on tv.
- Trigger out to trigger the Yamaha into power on and Main in. (confirmed from manual Yamaha)
- Easy control of different renamed inputs, Blu-ray, (SA)CD player.
- Easy control via app and physical remote control.
- RCA out into Yamaha main in.

Yamaha handling my analog connections:

- All digital sources via main in from the Eversolo.
- Phono in for the turntable.
- CD in for redbook cd's, could also go through the Eversolo via coax.
- Line out for digitalizing records.
- High level out into Kef R3 speakers.
- High level out into Phonar as1000 subwoofer.

On paper this seems like the analog, digital combination I've been searching for. An old school analog amp for decades to use. A digital pre amp to be swapped whenever it gets outdated.

Is it reasonable to think this is going to be acting well integrated. Or am I going to be troubleshooting every week?

I use my streamer (XLR out) into the AS2200. Why would you not use the perfectly fine preamp and volume control of the Yamaha ?

Main in Yamaha means full volume. You trust the eversolo never to glitch out ?

Ordered the Yamaha, still waiting on delivery. In the meanwhile I've decided on a Wiim Ultra.

Reason not to use the pre amp with the streamer, I need it to be one integrated setup for anyone to use.

So HDMI ARC> Wiim > audio and trigger > Yamaha > speakers.

Turning on the TV with the Google TV remote and voice control. That should also wake up the Wiim and the Wiim will trigger the Yamaha. The Yamaha will auto switch to the main input. And again the system can be controlled by the Google TV remote.

Volume limit setting and output voltage on the Wiim, should keep everything save. With the Wiim I can also high pass the speakers and send a low level sub out. By turning the speakers to A on the Yamaha, the high level on output B to the sub is turned off. Resulting in a better experience for movies.

Analog sources will be plugged in the Yamaha's inputs. Digital sources will go through a separate DAC into the Yamaha.

End goal:

- Movies and easy listening (streaming) = Wiim Ultra as pre > Yamaha as power amp .
- CD's and Vinyl = Yamaha as integrated amp.

Did read somewhere that the Yamaha should not be connected to highlevel outputs because of the floating ground design

Yeah, it's stated in the manual as well. The issue isn't connecting a high level subwoofer though. It's the summing of the grounds which shorts the power amps.

And with the exception of Rel (maybe more), subs will sum L- and R- together.

So options for high level are:

- Two Subs each receiving their own signal.
- Rel or similar sub which uses chassis ground instead of the speaker terminal.
- One sub in mono.

Far from ideal but it is manageable. I want to go stereo (Rel) anyway, so not that much of an issue. Just waiting for a nice used pair to show locally.

Edit: this is incorrect!

Do not use the speaker terminals on a balanced amp like the Yamaha for high level sub out.
