Ps5 sound from vintage receiver

Hi,

I have recently bought an Akai 1135.
It is hooked up to my Turntable, the sound is coming from some b&w bookshelf speakers.
Obviously my receiver doesnt have HDMI.
My tv has no RCA out. Only optical out.
My question. If i buy a DAC could i go optical out from my tv to the DAC and then from my DAC RCA out to the aux terminals on my receiver? My ps5 is plugged in to the tv with HDMI.
Wil i get sound from the ps5 on my speakers?

Yip, I do this with a switch and a tv. You might have to change some settings in the tv to have optical out, pcm.

200 is too much.

Here are some good DACs with Toslink in and RCA out:
-Schiit Modi+
-JDS Atom DAC+
-Topping E30 II
-SMSL C100
-SMSL SU-1
-SMSL Sanskrit 10th MKⅢ

They all sound the same, so best to decide based on price, availability, features, looks, warranty etc.

Ps5 supports the USB audio protocol 1. With such a DAC U could just use the USB out of the Ps5 and go from the DAC into your amp with RCA.

But optical out of the TV works also
