PS Audio got a Klippel NFS

Just a different point of view my friend, hope that's welcome here.
It's not "a different point of view," it's the same tired tropes that science denialists bring around here every couple weeks. Furthermore, it doesn't belong in this thread.

If you want to deny science and argue against the primacy of measurements, there's one place to do so, but make sure you read first since literally everything you are going to say has already been considered and found lacking: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...are-measurements-everything-or-nothing.62954/

All I'm saying is don't miss the beauty and emotion because you're busy staring at a computer screen. :)
....... Ignored.

LOL, you haven't read much of this forum it seems. This forum is dedicated to science, where different points of view are not welcome. You know, like in science. https://daily.jstor.org/why-no-one-believed-einstein/
Different points of view are absolutely welcome if you have some sort of data/evidence/observation with the intent of having an honest and objective-driven discussion.

Comparing the disagreement towards Einsteins theory of relativity at that time with the swatting away of subjective opinions on measurements and sound is a reach only Stretch Armstrong could make.

We're not friends. You're just some random wingnut on the Internet who can't read the room.

I'm not trying to deny science, I just think there is a group of people who simply enjoy a speaker for how it feels in there room and how it makes them connect to the music, rather than how it strictly measures. After seeing Amirs latest video at
I had a just for fun idea to try an experiment using AI data gathering, following his exact disclosure methods. The unedited AI research, which you can see at https://gemini.google.com/share/9685379c9995 actually shows a huge split even among professional mastering engineers, with many preferring subjectively voiced consumer gear over flat reference monitors when they listen to music at home. As a layperson, I just wanted to point out that we exist, and there is room for both preferences in this hobby.

2. Show the prompt you used and the engine (ChatGPT, etc.). Both of these can be useful to understand how the answer came about.
Your prompt: "When mastering engineers listen to music for pleasure at home, do they prefer highly accurate, neutral reference speakers similar to the studio monitors they use professionally, or do they gravitate toward consumer-oriented playback systems designed for musicality? ..."

The bias is already there!

The spread of the NFS is increasing. ATC has an NFS now too.

Another AI failure. How shocking.

Marketing, marketing, marketing !
The good news here is that the subjective world is slowly learning that the objective world can no longer be completely ignored if they want to be successful going forward.
IMHO It's wonderful how times have changed in audio over the last 10+ years. ;)
Did they just get that instrument so that they can brag that they have one for marketing purposes, or will they really use it to measurably improve their products?

It's an "OR" statement, no bias. I even gave "neutral reference speakers similar to the studio monitors they use professionally" first dibs.

The preference research doesn't show 100 percent correlation so there's going to be outliers. That's not disputed as far as I'm aware.

It could be argued that people working in recording or audio production are a special case (they just want something 'different' at home) hence a slight majority for less accurate speakers, although not sure we can really extrapolate that from the very small sample size.

The "or" doesn't prevent bias, especially when both sides of the "or" are written biasedly

Yay, now we maybe have more competition for realistic sounding speakers. Toole convincingly demonstrated speakers that measured accurately were preferred in blind testing. All doubters should read his book which details his studies. The microphone is far more sensitive than the best of human hearing. Most well measuring speakers can be tuned with PEQ to meet different preferences. Having someone else set your preferred sound seems less desirable.

AI hallucinating a 60/40 ratio (due to biased question). And now it is taken as a fact WTF !

I continued your AI conversation. Not sure if you can read it. Very enlightening.

The better route would be to use AI to compile known lists/polls that show what speakers are used by professionals in their personal setups.
Then cross reference those speakers with known measurements. And see what, if any, possible FR differences exist.

But that would be bringing an objective approach to the discussion. Can't have that.

But what good is the answer if you haven't actually defined "musicality" prior to setting AI to the task?

And does not the "feel" and/or "musicality" of a song reside in the source? If you found a given song particularly musical, and it was recorded and mixed perfectly, would you not want it reproduced in your home through the most accurate, neutral reference system possible? How could you expect to maintain those traits that you prize while using a system that is audibly colored, either intentionally or as a result of poor design?
