Calm down, would be missing your technical input on this forum.

Hi @Salt,

I am calm, rather I am pissed that personal attacks are permitted and thus encouraged.

When I am asked a question by a colleague, I always answer. It's called respect. Note that if I do not get the respect that I have earned, then I tend to just take it anyway!

Ignore button deployed."

I am the OP. What did he ignore?
He ignored you. He will not see any of your posts now. It's a common technique for managing content.

I am not complaining. I made a good faith proposal and sure there are different opinions but aren't personal attacks prohibited?
Brutally honest here? You are being too sensitive. You should see the personal attacks on the Internet. That was at worst, a mild implication. I think it's more about your proposal being received with skepticism.

...aaannnd you go on ignore

@Mort

Where is the ignorance button? I don't see it in my comment window.
If You click on the Avatar name, let's say under the feet of the dog of @Mort on Mort, a window opens, where You can select 'ignore'.
From then no more posts of this 'Avatar' will be displayed for You.

@Salt,

I don't see it and the edit bar at the top of my comment windows; it is disabled. Am I being punished? Below is what I see when I click on smowry. I am using the Chrome browser.

You will not get displayed 'ignore' on Your own profile ;)
Open mine or that of anyone else and You will get the 'ignore' button.

@Salt

The edit bar at the top of my comment windows is disabled and this includes emojis. How can I enable it?

My .02 is that a speaker is ready for use, a driver or transducer still needs to be incorporated into one (i.e. a speaker). Don't see any need for changes to the subforum titles tho

I use the term "trans" when something can go both ways. For example, a USB interface IC is called a transceiver because it can both receive and transmit data.

When a device is distinctly one-directional, I don't use the term transceiver which literally means, transmit and receive.
That's not strictly correct. "Trans" as a prefix means across, beyond, or "on the other side of".

I was thinking about Amir's post. The most common use of the term "trans" today is transgender. Living in Thailand, the transgender Ladyboys or Katoey don't typically go both ways.
