Proper Metal music (no pony tails or choral crap)

Despite the fact that I literally grew up with AC/DC... where do they exactly fall in the "METAL" scene?
THE song Rock and Roll ain't noise pollution tells it all, and I fail to read metal in that... ;-)

It's a similar position to Motorhead - another rock and roll band loved my a lot of metalheads.

Motorhead can be categorised as Speed Metal. AC/DC never crossed the Hard Rock line...

It's Hard Rock. Regardless the influence they brought for Heavy Metal.

So glad they chose this song for their next video, Outstanding Power has been my AOTY choice since it came out in February, such a fantastic album from what has become my favorite band, and this song just F'ing RIPS.
Sorry Iron Maiden, still love you guys, but Lovebites has captured my metal loving heart.

Well... there is quite a difference in style; I cannot directly compare them, so the Irons remain my first love.
Then... how long these will last, as an act, is another pair of sleeves...
And... BTW... they do not have an airliner pilot in their lineup...
 
LOL, Captain Bruce is a one of a kind!
Don't get me wrong Iron Maiden will always be the greatest band I ever listened to, I'm just glad that there is another coming to fill their spot when they eventually call it a day, just hope they can last half as long as Steve and company. Love them both.
BTW, just got back from seeing the Burning Ambition movie, was very well done. UP THE IRONS!!!
