Product reliability and support surveys

I wish there was a way to collect quantifiable data on product stability and reliability on ASR in addition to audio performance measurements. Wondering if it would be possible to have a tabulated product survey where members could somehow enter how long they owed a product, whether their gear had to be repaired in year 1, 2, etc., if they had to contact tech support, was the problem resolved, etc. I realize this is less scientific than objective audio measurements, but reliability is becoming a more important factor to me especially in more expensive products and now that we have more products with embedded computers and software in addition to hardware components.
