I’ve got 2 10” subs and 2 LSR305 studio monitors, also getting a DSP for Christmas. Am I able to just run a Primo EM258 measurement mic with a 3.5mm cable (without a housing) to do some really basic room EQ? Buying from micbooster. Essentially just to see what my speakers and subs are capable of to crossover them better and smooth out peaks/dips with my awful reflections.
I know something like the UMIK-1 is the gold standard for budget measurement mics, but it’s way too much for me to justify on a mic I’ll only use a few times when something like the EM258 could do it for cheaper. Will it be accurate enough down to 25-30hz or so? Any worries with running it without a housing other than potentially damaging it? Thanks.
