Preamp between Eversolo DMP-A6 and power amp?

Hey all,

Newbie here!
Initially I wanted to get an integrated all-in-one streamer amp, but after reading some reviews here, I figured that the Eversolo + power amp may give me more bang for the buck.
Now my question is: would that set up be enough to just plug into my speakers, or should I introduce a preamp between them? If so, which one? Or should I perhaps look at an integrated amp instead?

Thank you in advance!

No preamp required, you can set the Eversolo to ‘passthrough’ and use a preamp if you choose but hardly any point.

Eversolo into power amp will work. Some people like a tube preamp in between them because they swear they hear a difference and they prefer what they hear.

What is the finall verdict? Do we need pre-amp between eversolo and power amp or not?
I just bought eversolo dmp6 me gen2 but I will probably returne him back...as I read on forum there must be pre-amp in between...dmp6 has not good preamp (it is not truly real preamp, it is just pre amp for phono as I know)
2nd big issue for me is that HDMI arc is not power on/off dmp6 together with my TV...in this case when I press the buton on remote for TV on I need seperate turn on eversolo eather...
Any suggestion what is the best streamer/dac/pream in one unit? and also hdmi arc turns on and off the tv.
I was thinking that this will be Bluesound node icon...but I read some bad stuff regarding dac filter

No preamp required, it is however important to consider the gain structure of the entire system if you are using a power amplifier with low gain and ineffective loudspeakers then there could be an issue with volume.
The answer buy a properly designed power amplifier.

The bigger issue is the risk of the ground loop. Amir’s stance against the DAC filter is a principled one just like his stance against tube products or Marantz’s slow DAC filter. Asking for user control is great.

On the other hand, the filter is unlikely to be audible and owners of the Icon who do not have problems with ground loops will tell you that the sound quality is great. It’s just the ergonomics.

But make sure you read about the ground loop issue which is hit or miss.

A traditional preamp is mostly a "control center" with volume & tone controls and multiple-selectable inputs. It's more-often used as an attenuator than an amplifier. If it has a phono preamp that part is a preamp with high gain. In the pro world a preamp is for microphones.

Curently I have power amp xtz edge a2-400 and eversolo dmp6 me gen2...without any pre-amp or so. Directly connected...and speakers monitoraudio 100 gold 6

Main question is, do I need external pre-amp for better performance or not? on my curently setup.

I am also consider to change xtz with Apollon audio (most probably for Hypex NC 500x st lux...not sure for 100% because I dont know, if I will hear any diference or not)

The 2nd big problem is like I said in post above...eversolo doesnt know to connect with CEC and turn on/off with TV.
My music setup is also for my everyday channel on TV and I am listening/watching TV on external speakers not from the speakers from TV.

Regarding Bluesond node icon ground loop issue this is something what I will never know until to try it at home.
Node icon has CEC option.

I found that the Lyngdorf tdai 1120 has also CEC option...but it is only 2x120w rms on 4 ohm and I think that this is not enough power for MA gold 100 6

P.S. this is official statement from Bluesound regarding ground loop

The NODE ICON does not have the provision to connect the signal ground of other chassis grounds. When using an XLR audio connection, you may hear a humming noise.

To resolve this issue, connect an analog audio RCA cable between the NODE ICON and the amplifier.
