Powerstrip vs Single Port Power Adapter

I’ve been setting up some new audio gear. Instead of plugging my new Marantz Cinema60 HTR into a powerstrip (with surge protection), I bought a single plug-in surge protector (link below) so that the Cinema60 is on a separate circuit from my other gear. The pack came with three of these single plug-ins. I used the second plug-in for my Yamaha HTR on my desktop. I plan to use the third plugin for my Sony OLED television. Is there any benefit here, or did I buy some $15 snake oil, lol.
