I have my Pioneer SC-LX86 AVR connected to a smart plug now. I am wondering if it is okay to power it off via the plug or whether I should use the power button on the AVR first?
ie. Can I damage the AVR by powering on/off via the smart plug. I believe that it is bad to do this with TVs, so wondering what the situation is with AVRs.
PS. When I power it back on via the plug after it is powered off this way, it goes straight to the "on" state, as opposed to the "stand by" state. (As when the power button is used.)
