This is good news, because it means that this will increase the compatibility with more PSUs, probably the 48 VDC PSU from above as well. However, measuring the temperature on top of these two caps after half an hour of continuous usage might be a good thing to do, especially if these new caps are rated at 80C instead of 105C (@Scrufboy, what's their temp rated, please?)

Just had the itch to check again and caps are different from Amir's. So does this now make it safe to use the 48v PSU?

Does anyone have any links to a suitable one? I tried searching for the 48v 5a ICT telecom power supply on ebay but couldn't find anything.
What kind of voltage and amperage is ideal?

This is the one that I find works the best for my needs. I use this to power both the Aiyima A07 and the Aiyima A3001 simultaneously. I made a custom enclosure to keep it safe.

I've got 2 5.5x2.5 mm jack's installed. High power toggle and 5V 3A buck converter for USB.

DROK 48V Power Supply, AC 110V/220V to DC 0-48V 10A 480W Buck Converter, Adjustable Variable LED Adapter Regulated 5V 12V 24V 30V 36V 48V Volt Voltage Transformer 10A Amp Charger for Lab CCTV Radio https://a.co/d/0ZTSxwR

JUst picked up one of the Amps and toying with idea of better power supply. I bught this amp mostly out curiosity and I have not been disapointed. Driving some Elac Unifi Ub51s with command for such a small box. Arguably as good or better than my Adcom 535 power amp and My Yamaha CA-1000. Using stock supply 32v 5amp.

In case anyone's looking for a suitably rated DC connector Mouser have part no. 172-4201 which looks to be suitable.

Ghent Audio DC03, 4S8 or 4S6G(and it's JSS360 shielding variant if needed) are better solutions IMO for those safely building enclosures. Using a DC 5.5x2.5 socket.

Dear
I just have few questions like to ask for helping me toclear the picture ! I'm new to Aiyima A07; and as an op amp rolling's user practice ... I ordered 48v/5a (240w) PSU from Aiyima to expect it will delivery around 120w per channel if it is possible ? I also wonder if the most op-amp chips out there are max out at 36V, will 48V PSU burn (damage) them badly or it just lifts the distortion only ???

Aiyima is also recommended 48V/7.5a PSU but I never seen they supply it before ! I also just watch cheapaudioman channel that mentioned he was a huge disapointed the PSU 48v/5.2A ??? therefore 48V/7.5a should not be recommended ?

Many thanks

@sthaus here are the details of recommended supplies and their power output.

i got that photo on their webiste .. Unfortunaly, the goods PSU Aiyima supply is 48v/5a only or less .. ! with 48v/7.5a .. output would be 120W (expected) for 8ohm and 150w (4ohm) relatively. So I am not 100% sure it can deliver 120W per or less in case 48v/5a (240w) . Part of my confusion, that PSU 48v can, will or wont damage most of op chip that max out at 36v ... I'm not an electrician and not very well known about the board design .. Thanks

The power supply will have different voltage rails and one set of rails will be for OP amps. A dedicated set of rails for OP amps prevents the OP amps from being over-volted.

The 48V/7.5A supply should be fine but if you can get the 48V/10A. Buy the biggest supply that you can afford for this amplifier.

Thank you for your clarification .. I was abit worried it can be set on fired if it is over supplied voltage. On the other hands, the sound quality vs noise floor. I wasnt sure the problem with cheapaudioman since he mentioned the distortion heard after 12o'clock with 48v/5.2a .. too bad that I already ordered PSU .. I checked on aliexpress, they have Dc LAB adjustable PSU 5-20a for 30-60V ... would you recommended it ?

A usb C laptop charger with 100watts will work with a simple $6 cable like this Cablecc Type C USB-C Female Input to DC 5.5x2.5mm Power PD Charge Cable fit for Laptop 18-20V https://a.co/d/25naiqj

Right now A07 driving Monitor Audio Silver 100s (88 db sensitivity at 8 ohms) at 30% volume to a 10x10 meter hall

Interesting finding. I guess this kind of charger should do well for a decent amount of output power, although it can not be used to get the max. out of this amp.

What does ”get to the max” mean?

If it is an occasional crest factor deal, like peaks in music, which a millisecond of near clipping, then it should as the mean would be down at like 10W with 300W peaks.

But if you mean like powering a subwoofer that is going full power for a tenth or half second… then I agree.

I have one for a center channel, but I would be apprehensive using it for a tactile transducer or a sub.
I suppose that the worst that can happen is that the smoke sends you a smoke signal that it is done.

Few posts above there's a nice table that relates output power vs. voltage & amperage.
