i am looking to add another headphone to my growing collection.
one option being the Modhouse Tungsten.
as this headphone is regarded as relatively hard to drive, i have a question that may kill it (and others) as an option for me.
(assuming my amp has the power)
do these "harder to drive" headphones perform well at low volume levels ?
i do not want something that needs to be played at high levels to sound any good.

Holy moly, 78 dB / mW at 155 ohms (or 86 dB / 1 V)... those can use a whole lotta voltage. 7 Vrms for 103 dB and 15.6 Vrms for 110 dB peak.

I wouldn't think that this is a problem. If anything, the response of this model is slightly on the "loudness" side of things.

You'd better hope you like the stock response though because any heavy eq is going to chew the amps headroom up pretty quickly.
