What about replacing the entire home run from the receptacle to the panel? I'd think 50-300 ft of romex would have more impact than 10 feet of wire that's essentially an extension cord, unless the drywall is shielding the Romex from whatever is impacting sound.
More importantly, you have a fire hazard if you live in the USA with 15 or 20 amp receptacles on a 30 amp circuit. The receptacles and electronics will all melt and burn before a 30 amp breaker thinks of tripping, so just using #10 wire for the circuit isn't sufficient.
You just need to swap the breaker to a 20 amp and you'll still have all the benefits (less voltage drop) without the drawbacks (you making it out while your DAC doesn't), though I don't know anyone who would do this, so I'd suggest an electrician to check the rest of the circuit over. It's a 30 minute job taking your time.
