Hi, I feel like this may be a dumb question, but had trouble finding an answer via Google. I have a Denon AVR-X1800H, which has pre outs only for the main left and right speakers. I'll be upgrading my left and right and center channel speakers soon, to some which I understand benefit from a bit more power (Polk LSiM 705 and 704c). So I was considering adding an external power amp for the left and right speakers, while the center channel would be using the Denon internal amp. I assume that after I run Audyssey after connecting everything up, I will then have the level matched across all three speakers. My question is whether that match remains the same across the whole volume range. As you turn up the volume, do all amplifiers scale at the same rate?

I would first see how well the current setup works. If you don’t reach the limits, your fine without amps.
